Pagan black metal from Norway

Rating:
This is the fourth full-length album by Kampfar (released on September 26th, 2008 by Napalm Records). They succeeded in making a really good album in a perfect quality.

The formation of the bands has been unchanged for 15 years, so they have had a lot of experience in music, and have got used to each other. It's also a guarantee of a good album. Their songs are individual, although they don't play so difficult music and guitar solos. They also use sound effects in some of the songs on this album.

The first song (Vantro) is a good intro of the album, then the song Inferno gives us a fresh impetus to the following songs, because it's fast and heavy. The vocals (by Dolk) are very cool in all of the songs, and their rhythm is fast and melodic. The last song (Vandring) is a bit mournful and slow, so it's a perfect end of the perfect album.
