I think it would be cool to have a forum for selling and trading metal related items. Other forums I am on have this feature and it works well, the members police themselves. I' m sure there are many folks here that would love to sell/trade/buy stuff from other metalheads. This would be for metal related items ONLY, cds, lps, shirts, etc. Not other crap.

I voted no. I would not want DFM to be responsible for any transactions that may go wrong or not how both parties intended them to go.

As far as policing yourselves go, there hasn't exactly been an abundance of that around here, and we don't have the time or resources to police buying, selling or trading transactions through the site.

However, if someone wanted to make known that they had an ebay auction going for Metal Merchandise, that would be acceptable to post in the community forums.

BQ, check out the for sale section on this site:
http://pirate4x4.com/forum/
It's the biggest 4 wheeling site on the web, I've been a member there for many, many years. The issues with for sale items are few and far between, and they are always taken care of by either the seller or buyer or the community gets involved and harasses/embarasses the offender to make it right. And there is absolutely NO liability on Pirate's part. It works very well, and has for years. There is even a bad sellers/disputes section to handle the issues.

Maybe we could give it a try. Possibly a single thread could do the job also but would get vast early... hm...

a simple sticky "read first" denouncing responsibility from DFM, its' associates and/or assigns for transactions herein would take care of it Wink
