|
Just an idea..we have soooo many albums now but still only very few get requested..most of the members request the same stuff over and over again.. I’m tired of the same dying fetus, guttural secrete, heinous killings etc..fuck, I actually enjoyed a bit of fetus but only until I got tired of it because I can listen at any time here @ dfm.. these bands were just an example btw.. so, how about limiting the number of times a track can be requested.. when an album reaches 150 plays (for example) in the same year, why not increase the wait period until a track from that album can be requested again to 15 days (again, for example).. I mean, I look at the top 66 most requested albums and I see some requested over 300 even 400 times a year!!! That’s more than once per day..we look (at a much smaller scale of course) just like the mainstream radio where same stuff gets played every day.. and that top 66 most requested albums is made up entirely by a bunch of people so it’s in no way a popularity top.. if I start requesting an album of a hated band here, once-twice per day, at the end of the year that album will show up very high in top 66.. which doesn’t mean most of the people here like it..of course I’ll be cursed by most of the people here but hey that will be like getting a taste of their own medicine..
respect for a few people here who try all kinds of new bands all the time..
Well it’s just an idea, feel free to bash me but beware, you might listen to umbra et imago for the whole year.. _________________ None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free - Goethe

I think a lot ppl know my opinion about repetetive request. I don´t support that either and I told those persons directly to choose something different.
I wouldn´t consider a "ban" for an album if it crosses a certain number of requests cause that doesn´t take the balance between the single songs on that album into account.
A "lock" for some hours or a half day on an album or even the whole band would be sufficient imo.
Cause blocking an album or band after a song has been requested will solve the problem of overplaying it per year immediatly : a certain limit could never be reached. In combination with song blocking for 10 days there wouldn´t be overrequesting anymore.
But take two things into consideration:
1.What would justify Jeric adding so much albums then if they can´t be requested?!
2.There has to be different rules for the updates again (like the 4/10 days rule)
Else I support that diversity thing _________________

Hehe you did realize one thing: We aren't that different from mainstream people
Still, your intentions are good, but I'm definitely with Pesa on this: More rules simply suck, we do have enough already imho. But let's just start to request more songs by seldom-requested bands, just do it yourself without any rule, that won't fix it, but it'll help! I'll do it right now

I don't agree, more rules suck. I request music on this station all the time that I never heard before. The people requesting those song my not have the albums and would like to hear, so who is to say that they can't. I don't think that is fair.
